Ron David Walter
Ron’s career spans multiple disciplines – from design, advertising, and long-form television programs to digital content and social media programs. While working at some of the most prestigious advertising agencies and ground breaking content shops, he created award-winning campaigns for brands like Saturn Automobiles, Apple Computers, AXE, Pepsi, and Nestle. As a founding partner of the San Francisco-based ad agency Blazing Paradigm, he served as creator and Executive Producer of the NBC Sports television series, ‘The North Face Expeditions.’ The success of that series lead him to Hollywood, where he created a number of cross-platform branded entertainment programs. His work has been distributed across all media channels and viewed by countless millions. Ron is currently focused on using his diverse background to continue to create ‘transmedia’ marketing programs to help clients effectively connect with today's consumers.
David Munro
David’s motivation is moving audiences – something he’s accomplished as both an advertising creative and a filmmaker. Shortly into his first job as an intern copywriter, David wrote the kick-off spot for Chevrolet’s “Heartbeat of America” campaign, credited with resuscitating an iconic automotive brand. From there, David created award-winning ad campaigns for clients and agencies large and small. Inspired by his experience in broadcast production, David attended film school, where his short films won top honors from Sundance to Berlin - culminating in his first feature “Full Grown Men,” winner of the 2007 Sundance Channel Undiscovered Gems Award. David joined his former ad partner, Mark Decena, as a commercial director at Kontent Films, using his dual writer-director talents to create human and humorous brand content. Motive, Kontent’s new social media initiative, is the perfect home for David's abilities, and the embodiment of his motivation. David is a graduate of Brown University, a founding member of the San Francisco Writers Grotto, and is represented by the Gersh Agency for film and television.
Mark Decena
As founder of Kontent Films, Mark Decena wears many hats. As a writer, director, and producer, Mark has created award-winning work in feature films, shorts, television programming, commercials, and web films. Mark's first feature, ‘Dopamine,’ won the Alfred P. Sloan Prize in competition at the Sundance Film Festival. With his latest feature, ‘Unflinching Triumph,’ Mark continues to embrace the digital paradigm in both production and distribution. 'Unflinching' was highlighted by the Wall Street Journal as a new media ‘Top 5 What-to-Watch,’ nominated for a Webby Award, and recognized by Sports Illustrated as ‘the most amusing parody of 2006.’ Decena’s commercial work has been recognized by the One Show, Clios, Andys, and the San Francisco Show. Mark’s forays into socially-conscious work has expanded his horizons in documentary storytelling for Rainforest Action Network, Lenders for Community Development, and AIDchild. Decena serves as a mentor for the ITVS 'Filmocracy' project through AFI’s Digital Content Lab, and was recently a finalist for the San Francisco Film Society’s Kenneth Rainen grant for screenwriting. Mark loves his wife, two kids, trees, and riding his bike to work.
